How to find trending VRChat avatars and assets
To explore VRChat products gaining attention, compare favorite growth over a stated time window. To find newly published products, use Newest instead. Popularity, publication time and observed edits describe different things.
How do I find trending VRChat avatars and assets?
Open DropCat's Hot view and use the Hype timeline to explore a moment and a look-back window: one hour, six hours, one day or one week. You can browse avatars, assets or everything. The timeline ranks observed net favorite growth per hour for its sampled interval.
For the largest total favorite counters, choose Most favorited. A long-established product with a large total does not necessarily have the fastest recent growth. A short window and a longer window can highlight different products.
Does Newest mean the product was just collected?
Newest sorts by BOOTH publication time when it is available, with unknown dates last. Collection time is when DropCat observed a product; it is not the product's release date. Coverage follows the VRChat search scope and is incomplete.
Does Recently updated mean a new package version?
No. Recently updated reflects recorded changes to observed product fields. A creator may edit the title, price, gallery or description without releasing a new package. Open the product's change history to see the field, observed time and before/after values, and read the original BOOTH listing for the creator's release information.
How should I read favorite growth?
Favorite growth is a signed change in the public counter between actual observations. Unknown counts remain unknown, and a first observation establishes a baseline rather than proving growth. Sampling is not continuous, so the measured interval matters. Favorites are not sales or a measure of product quality.
Historical rankings use retained samples and available ranking checkpoints. Product names, images and filters can reflect current catalog data. A historical ranking is not a complete reconstruction of the BOOTH storefront at that time.
