How to find clothes for your VRChat avatar
To find clothes for a VRChat avatar, start with the exact avatar name, filter BOOTH assets by that avatar, then confirm the supported model and version on the creator's product page. A similar-looking outfit is not evidence of compatibility.
How do I find clothes that fit my avatar?
- Find your base avatar's name. Use the name from its original BOOTH listing rather than a nickname for your edited character.
- Choose your avatar in DropCat. The avatar selector groups known spellings of the same avatar. Open its assets to narrow the catalog to products whose BOOTH tags name it.
- Narrow the results. Search the title, creator or tags. Use available category filters for clothing, hair or accessories, and free or paid filters to match your budget.
- Read the original listing before buying. Check the supported avatar, required base version, setup instructions and whether the purchase includes your avatar's variation.
What do 対応 and 専用 mean in a listing?
Creators often put the avatar name in a compatibility tag, such as 桔梗対応 or Kikyo専用. DropCat uses these tags to connect assets to an avatar and groups known spelling variants. It does not open Unity packages or test whether an outfit fits your particular edit.
A missing result does not prove that an outfit is incompatible. The creator may use different tags, the product may not have been observed, or the avatar may not yet be in the directory. Try searching the original name on BOOTH as well.
Will an outfit fit a modified avatar?
Do not assume so. The catalog's tag match describes the named base avatar. It cannot verify your changes to proportions, meshes, materials or the installation steps. The creator's listing is the place to check supported versions and requirements.
What if I only have a screenshot?
Try image search for VRChat outfits to find visually similar products, then check each candidate's supported avatars. Visual similarity and compatibility answer different questions.
